Day 3, 4 and 5 - Made it to Richwood West Virginia

Made it to Richwood, Debra family is from there and this is a place we try to visit when passing nearby.  We had dinner with family at the Moose Lodge, that was fun.  We enjoyed a nice lunch with family at the Whistle Punk restaurant.   City Hall was nice to us and let us park overnight in the city lot.

Day 2 Made it to Beckley WV via Mount Airy.

We left the Walmart in Waynesville and stopped in Mount Airy, NC.  Had a nice visit in town, we even stopped at Floyd's Barbershop and met the son of the real Floyd that use to cut Andy's hair!  After the visit in town we set course toward Beckley WV.  After driving 348 miles we pulled into our boondocking place for the night.

Day 1 of our big adventure to the north midwest

We drove 148 miles and made it to Waynesville, NC in time for supper.  Our new Dometic CFX40w chest refrigerator is working great, we actually have cold food storage!  A nice salad with rotisserie chicken and some lemon cake for desert.

Tomorrow we continue heading toward West Virginia.

Getting ready for our upcoming trip.

We are about to leave on a six to eight week trip across the north mid-west.  Spending some time getting the RV ready, I sanitized the freshwater tank and gave the RV a complete cleaning.  I like to go through it and remove any items that we won't need.  I have learned that a lot of stuff is not really needed and just takes up precious storage space.
