Day 13 - Made it to Gillette, WY

We left Rapid City and drove on US 14A  through Spearfish Canyon.  It was very beautiful,  I will be posting videos later.

We made our way to Devil's Tower,  it's very impressive when you see it in person.

As we pulled into Gillette when found a male and female Pronghorn deer  just in town.  He was fun to watch and run around.   I believe his partner was laying down because it's about the time of year they give birth.

Day 12 - Back to Rapid City from Sturgis and Deadwood

Today we drove to Sturgis and Deadwood.  They both were nice, but we really enjoyed Deadwood the most.  We had a good night's stay at Cabela's so we came back again for tonight.

Day 11 - We made it to Rapid City, SD

After visiting Wall, SD today we visited Ellsworth AFB and went to the exchange.  We ate lunch in the RV, bought some burgers from Burger King there.

We then visited the South Dakota Air a nd Space Museum.

From there we stopped at a McDonald's to see the world's largest quarter pounder.

Then to Cabela's for the night.

The inside was closed, so we walked around the outside static displays.

Had fun in Wall, SD!

We had a good night's sleep in one of the gravel parking lots owned by Wall Drug.

We ate some breakfast at the Cafe, I had a free donut and coffee.   They treat military people very well at Wall Drug.

My wife and I shared some biscuits and gravy, also very good.

We walked around the stores and bought a few items.  I have to say the prices were very reasonable.

We also met many nice people,  one lady told me about her son who is a boatswain in the Coast Guard.   Another nice family joined me in a photo, like I said, a bunch of great people @
